Careful to choose the architectural firm to design her future state-of-the-art veterinary clinic and boarding facility, Dr. Ashley Geoghegan came to Greenleafwith a precise vision! The task at hand involved providing a noticeable eye-catching aesthetic while respecting the historical context of Old Mandeville. Providing this type of design for new construction, while raising the building 10’+ above the ground played major factors and design components for this project as well. How could this be achieved without compromising the budget or quality, while still providing all components of a veterinary clinic with boarding requirements?
Through engaging collaboration and communication with the owner, the City of Mandeville, and consultants, Greenleaf was able to provide efficient space planning at both ground level and the main floor. The design incorporated space under the building to offset the cost of raising the building. The ground level provided covered parking, ADA parking, additional storage, an elevator entrance, a covered dog play area, a rehabilitation area, and more! The design also included flexibility for a future expansion - with the back porch equipped structurally. With the potential to add up to 1150 sf to the 2750 sf already designed. The open front porch provides the Old Mandeville appeal while providing a slightly modern touch in the details, along with a 180-degree view with accompanying views of the lake!
