Haven Coffee + Cocktails transformed a previously vacant 3,522-square-foot storefront in the Covington Historic District into an all-day hospitality concept designed to transition from coffee and daytime gathering to cocktails and evening service. Working in collaboration with Studio MV, Greenleaf helped adapt the existing building for its new use while responding to the architectural character of downtown Covington. The project balances the familiarity of its historic surroundings with a more playful identity specific to Haven.
Designed in collaboration with Studio MV, the space pulls cues from its historic surroundings while introducing a bold, playful twist. The façade balances familiarity and edge, pairing classic architectural elements with colorful details that nod to the brand’s funky, fun-loving spirit. Inside, eclectic textures, layered lighting, and clever spatial planning create a warm, welcoming backdrop that shifts seamlessly from morning brews to evening cocktails.
The completed renovation gives Haven a flexible environment that can support different uses throughout the day, from morning coffee and casual meetings to evening cocktails and social gatherings. The project brings a new tenant into a previously vacant downtown storefront while maintaining a clear relationship to the scale and character of the Covington Historic District.
