Megumi expanded its Northshore presence with a new 3,264-square-foot ground-up restaurant in Covington, creating a purpose-built location designed around the restaurant's established approach to Japanese cuisine and dining. Greenleaf provided full architectural services for the project, developing the building around the operational needs of the restaurant while giving Megumi a more refined architectural identity for its expansion into the Covington market.
The design combines contemporary forms and materials with subtle references to Japanese aesthetics, creating a restaurant that feels modern without losing the sense of restraint and detail associated with the brand. Dining, service, and support functions were coordinated within the new building to create an efficient layout for both guests and staff.
The completed restaurant gives Megumi a permanent Covington location designed specifically around its operations and dining experience while supporting the brand's continued growth on the Northshore.
