CLIENT: FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AMITE | LOCATION: AMITE CITY, LA
First Baptist Church Amite partnered with our team to reimagine and expand their 3-acre campus to better serve their growing congregation and future community needs. The project focuses on a comprehensive renovation and expansion, featuring a new 6,500 square foot sanctuary and an 11,000 square foot multipurpose building. These additions are carefully designed to improve functionality, enhance aesthetics, and increase overall capacity.
A primary goal was to address the church’s need for improved circulation and accessibility while accommodating larger gatherings. We achieved this by enlarging the foyer to create a more welcoming entry experience, modernizing interior finishes to reflect a warm and contemporary character, and incorporating advanced audiovisual technology to support both in-person and virtual engagement. The design supports 400 attendees in the sanctuary and 275 participants in small group environments.
In addition to architecture, we supported First Baptist Church Amite with project marketing. Our team developed rendered videos that brought the vision of the completed campus to life. These visuals played a key role in helping the church communicate its goals and generate momentum during fundraising efforts.
The master plan also includes strategic considerations for future expansion onto adjacent vacant lots. This forward-looking approach ensures the campus can continue evolving to meet the needs of the congregation and broader community.
