CLIENT: FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH AMITE | LOCATION: AMITE CITY, LA
First Baptist Church Amite partnered with Greenleaf to develop a long-term master plan for its 3-acre campus, creating a clear vision for future renovation and expansion as the church continues fundraising for construction.
The design includes a new 6,500-square-foot sanctuary and an 11,000-square-foot multipurpose building planned to improve functionality, circulation, accessibility, and overall capacity. The proposed sanctuary will accommodate approximately 400 attendees, while smaller group environments are designed to support up to 275 participants. The project also enlarges the foyer to create a more functional and welcoming entry, modernizes interior finishes, and incorporates updated audiovisual technology to support worship, events, small-group activities, and virtual engagement. The master plan also considers future expansion onto adjacent vacant lots as the church continues to grow.
Design documents are complete, and the project is currently awaiting funding before moving into construction. Greenleaf also developed renderings and project marketing materials to help First Baptist communicate the vision for the campus and support its ongoing fundraising efforts.
