Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group identified a significant need for more convenient healthcare access in the Waldheim and Bush area of St. Tammany Parish. At the time the project was developed, residents in the surrounding community did not have another medical provider within approximately a 15-mile radius.
Greenleaf designed the approximately 5,034-square-foot Money Hill clinic as the first tenant within The Village at Money Hill, a new commercial development located near the Highway 21 entrance to the community. The clinic includes seven exam rooms along with X-ray services, consultation areas, and support spaces for physicians and medical staff. The facility was designed to provide both traditional primary care and convenient walk-in access, bringing routine healthcare services closer to families throughout the surrounding rural area.
The plan organizes patient, physician, clinical, and support functions within a compact footprint while providing the spaces needed for examinations, consultation, diagnostics, and daily staff operations.
The project also represented an important first step in the development of the commercial village itself. By locating a physician group clinic at the entrance to Money Hill, the project established a community-serving use while expanding access to healthcare for residents well beyond the immediate development.
Rather than requiring patients in the Waldheim and Bush area to travel farther for routine care, the clinic brought a needed healthcare resource directly into a growing but previously underserved part of St. Tammany Parish.
